Who Can Apply for a Long-Term Visit Pass?
There are two main categories of applicants:
For Foreigners Sponsored by Singapore Citizens or PRs
Singapore Citizens and PRs can sponsor:
- Spouse (legally married)
- Common-law spouse (with supporting documents)
- Unmarried children under 21 years old (including legally adopted)
- Parents (Singapore Citizens only)
For Foreigners Sponsored by Work Pass Holders
Employment Pass or S Pass holders earning at least S$6,000/month may sponsor:
- Legally married spouse
- Unmarried children under 21 years old (including adopted)
- Those earning S$12,000/month or more can also sponsor their common-law spouse, stepchildren, or parents (subject to approval)
Key Benefits of Holding an LTVP
Stay in Singapore for up to 2 years, renewable.
Possibility to apply for an LTVP+, which provides enhanced benefits such as access to healthcare subsidies and a longer validity period (up to 5 years).
Certain LTVP holders may be eligible to apply for a Letter of Consent (LOC) to work in Singapore.
